Austria’s capital community volunteers deliver fact-based drug education with young people across the city

VIENNA, Austria — 23 December 2025 — Volunteers linked to Foundation for a Drug-Free World Austria have expanded outreach in Vienna, news eu elections speaking with youth, families and educators through street information stands and community events. The Vienna effort is led by Gabriele Toker, a local organiser, the initiative uses “Truth About Drugs” materials to present straightforward information on drug risks, including the ongoing debate around cannabis, described by public monitoring bodies as the most widely used illicit drug in Europe. Organisers say, the Vienna activities focus on early prevention, including at large public gatherings such as the Donauinselfest, while also connecting with educators interested in classroom-ready resources. Ivan Arjona, Scientology’s representative to the EU, OSCE, Council of Europe and the United Nations, noted: “Prevention works best when young people receive verified information early, in plain language—supporting both community well-being and European civic values.”
